Given : A hexagonal plot of side = 10 m  

To Find :  number of equilateral  triangular tiles of side 2 m that is required to fill  the hexagonal plot

Solution:

Area of   equilateral  triangular  = ( √3 / 4) Side²

equilateral  triangular tiles of side 2 m

Area of tile =   ( √3 / 4) 2²  = √3 m²

Area of Hexagonal = 6 *  ( √3 / 4) Side²

= 6 *  ( √3 / 4) 10²

= 150√3 m²

number of equilateral  triangular tiles of side 2 m required = 150√3 / √3

= 150
