Local buses ply on the same route as the express buses however there stops are more. Any body can give a hand and the local buses generally slows down to pick the passengers at any place in India. Since the speed of local buses are slow they take more time to cover the same distance. The fares of these buses are less compared to express service buses.

If you go by the looks Local buses are worn out and ugly in appearance compared to Express buses which are more sophisticated and comfortable for travel.

Local buses of India.

Express buses of India.

Thanks.
