  • As deposition is the process by which the gradual accumulation of material that is being transported is deported by the river it occurs when a river loses energy and is going through the last phase of its cycle.   • The deposits formed by the ice and glaciers are those of the moraines and the residual hills that are generated by the glaciers slow flowages and they may be in the forces of the drumlines. While the continental slopes are those that are slopes that are found on the outer edges of the continents and are submerged in water also called the continental seas.
