In the poem - 'The Road Not Taken', the road symbolizes our life. The poet says that the path that we don't choose in our life is 'the road not taken'. He describes his feelings about that choice that he had left in the past. The path which we have chosen, decides our future, our destination.

The Road Not Taken

The Road Not Taken is a very interesting poem by Robert Frost which talks about the confusion of man in choosing important decisions in life. The poet compares the options as two roads and he finds both the roads as equally good. He decides to take the road which is less trodden upon and thinks that he would come back and take the other road some day later. In his mind, the poet is sure that once some option is chosen knowing its pros and cons, there is going back to check out the other option. This is because life moves on.
