Let the larger angle = 7x and Smaller angle = 3x

We have to find, the smaller angle.

Solution:

We know that,

The sum of two complementary angles = 90⁰

∴ 7x + 3x = 90⁰

⇒ 10x = 90⁰

Dividing both sides by 10, we get

x = 9⁰

∴ Larger angle = 7 × 9⁰  = 63⁰ and

Smaller angle = 3 × 9⁰  = 27⁰

Thus, the required option is d).

Given:

pair of complementary angles are  in the ratio, 7:3

To find:

The value of the smaller angle.

Solution:

Let one angle of the pair is 7x

so the value fo the other one will be 3x

We know that,

The sum of the pairs of the complementary angles is 90⁰

So, we get

7x + 3x = 90⁰

10x = 90⁰

x = 90⁰/10

x =  9⁰

So the value of

Larger angle = 7 × 9⁰  = 63⁰

Smaller angle = 3 × 9⁰  = 27⁰

So the correct answer is option d. None of these
