Q.5. A rectangle room is 40m long and 15 m broad, it is to be paved with tiles, each measuring 6 dm by 1 dm. Find the number of tiles required. Also, find the cost of tiling

                                            =40m*15m

                                            =600m.sq

and tiles each measuring 6dm by5dm

by converting it into meter we get,

   0.6m by  0.5m

now, area of tile= l*b

                             =0.6m*0.5m

                             =0.3m.sq

now, number of tiles required =area of room/area of tile

                                                 =600m.sq/0.3m.sq

                                                 =600*10/3

                                                 =6000/3

                                                  =2000.
