Answer:

\huge\red{\mid{\fbox{\tt{ᴀɴsᴡᴇʀ }}\mid}}

→ v = - 48 cm .

Step-by-step explanation :-

We have,

→ Object distance = 12 cm .

∴ u = - 12 cm .[ Since, object is placed in front of mirror ] .

And,

→ It forms a real image four times larger than the object .

∴ m = - 4 . [ Since, it forms a real image. So, magnification will be in minus ] .

To find :-

→ The distance of the image from mirror ( v ) .

Now,

We know that :-

m \times \frac{ - v}{u}

 - 4 =  \frac{ - v}{ - 12}

 - v =  - 4 \times  - 12

 =  - v =  - 48cm

\small\mathbb{SOLUTION :–}

\tt→ \frac{ h_{o}}{ h_{i} } = \frac{ - v}{u}

  • u = -12 [ it is -ve because the object is real ]

→ \tt\frac{ h_{o}}{ h_{i} } = \frac{4}{1}

\tt→ \frac{ - v}{u} = \frac{4}{1}

\tt→ \frac{ - v}{ - 12} = \frac{4}{1}

\tt→ \frac{ \cancel- v}{ \cancel- 12}

→ v = 4 × 12v=

→ v = 48v=48

\small\mathbb{ HENCE :–}

  • The distance of the image from the mirror is 48 cm

  • And the nature of the image is :-

  • Virtual.
  • Large in size.
  • Erect.
