Answer:1.The earth is tilted, which of course gives us seasons. But more importantly this means the moon is not orbiting the same path over the earth every rotation. It also is why different locations can see an eclipse one time and not others. Kind of like the ISS which is in the same orbit always but since the earth itself is rotating it is over different parts of the earth each orbit.

2.However, some eclipses can only be seen as a partial eclipse, because the umbra passes above the Earth's polar regions and never intersects the Earth's surface. Partial eclipses are virtually unnoticeable in terms of the Sun's brightness, as it takes well over 90% coverage to notice any darkening at all.

3.From ancient times, solar eclipse have been the cause of much fear and superstitious beliefs around the world. This holds true even in today’s modern world, where many people associated solar eclipse with an omen of ill luck and death. To get rid of these superstitions, it is of utmost necessity for the educating of the population about the actual reason behind the eclipse, so no false fear develops in them.

4.    Never look at the Sun directly without protective eye gear. Even sunglasses cannot protect your eyes from the damage the Sun's rays can do to them.  Always keep your back towards the Sun while looking at a pinhole projection. Do not look at the Sun through the pinhole, binoculars or telescope.

5.otal solar eclipse will occur when the moon is near perigee. Moon has an elliptical orbit around Earth. Perigee is the point of orbit that is close to earth.A total eclipse takes place when the moon covers the entire disk of sun.It can take place from a few seconds to 7.5 min and sometimes for several hours. The moon orbits in such a way that it is 239000 miles in average from Earth creating an illusion that it is much larger in size. This makes the moon’s disk to block out the light from sun.

Answer:

I can answer number 4 only as I do not know the other answers.

The answer is:

i) We should not use sunglasses to view solar eclipses

ii)We should use solar filters to view a solar eclipse.

Explanation:

If we view a solar elcipse with our naked eye, we might get blind. But you can do any kind of work during a solar eclipse. We can go to the market or do anything we want to do. But it is better not to view a solar eclipse even with solar filters. If we want to see a solar eclipse you can view it but you are viewing it with a certain risk, remember this.
