Cuscuta a parasitic plant derives its nutrients by host plant, these plants will grew on the host and insert there roots in the stem or roots of host plant & likely it will take nutrients from phloem of that plant ( phloem is a tissue which transfer nutrients, minerals & water to the other parts of host plant).

There roots are also known as haustoria.

Insectivores plants are those which will use insects to extract nitrogen or nutrients from them, mainly known as carnivorous plants. Mainly those plants will grew in a soil where amount of nitrogen is less so they will use insects or beas to get nutrients but autotrophs will take it's minerals from soil only.

For example : Pitcher plant it will produce some smell which attracts the insects towards them after that they are having lid type structure when the insect will enter inside it will close.
