Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

area of a circle is pi radius square

= 4*4 *3.14  - 3*3*3.14

= 16*3.14 - 9*3.14

= 3.14 * (16 -9)

= 7*3.14

=21.98 cm square

Given -

  • Radius of 1st circle = 4cm

  • Radius of 2nd circle = 3cm

To find -

  • Area of the remaining sheet.

Solution -

In this question, 2 circles area given of radius 4cm and 3cm, and we need to find the area of the remaining sheet, for this we will subract, the area of sheet of radius 4cm from circle of radius 3cm

Now -

Area of 1st circle = πr²

where -

π = 3.14 (as per required question)

r = Radius

On substituting the values -

Area = πr²

\longrightarrow Area = 3.14 × (4cm)²

\longrightarrow Area = 3.14 × 16cm

\longrightarrow Area = 50.24cm

Now -

Area of 2nd circle = πr²

π = 3.14

r = radius

On substituting the values -

Area = πr²

\longrightarrow Area = 3.14 × (3cm)²

\longrightarrow Area = 3.14 × 9cm

\longrightarrow Area = 28.26cm

At the end -

Now, for find the area of remaining sheet, we will subract area of 1st circle from the area 2nd circle.

Area of remaining sheet = Area of 1st circle - Area of 2nd circle.

On substituting the values -

Area of remaining sheet = 50.24cm - 28.26cm

Area of remaining sheet = 21.98cm

\therefore The area of remaining sheet is 21.98cm
