1) Bar diagram-

It is used to compare data between different groups/ categories. The different categories are placed along one axix and a numeric variable is place along the other axis. Rectangular bars are used in it.

2) Pie diagram-

Here we divide the circle into various segments and put different categories into each segment .Using the area of the segment we compare the different categories. We are able to see the percentage value of each category.

3) Histogram-

Through histogram we compare the frequency of a category we put along one axis. It also uses rectangular bars like bar diagram but the rectangular bars have no gap between them here.

In bar diagram we compare different categories ,here we see the frequency of a single category.

4) Arithmetic line graph or time series graph-

In this time is plotted in the x axis. It could be month year weeks etc. And the numeric data is plotted on the y axis. The data is then compared with respect to time . It can be a one variable or two variable graph

In the above question it will be a two variable graph with values of sales and profit plotted on the y axis.
