SOLUTION

TO CHOOSE THE CORRECT OPTION

If a seller gets ₹ 10,000 by selling 100 units and ₹ 14,000 by selling 120 units, then marginal revenue is

a. ₹ 4,000

b. ₹ 450

c. ₹ 200

d. ₹ 100

EVALUATION

Here it is given that

The seller gets ₹ 10,000 by selling 100 units

Again The seller gets ₹ 14,000 by selling 120 units

So Change in total revenue

= ₹ ( 14000 - 10000 )

= ₹ 4000

Now Change in number of quantity

= ( 120 - 100 ) units

= 20 units

Hence Marginal revenue

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{Change \:   \: in \:  total \:  revenue }{Change  \: in  \: number \:  of  \: quantity} }

 \displaystyle \sf{ = \frac{4000}{20}  }

 = 200

Hence Marginal Revenue = ₹ 200

FINAL ANSWER

The correct option is c. ₹ 200
