no. of balloons she kept with her = 12

remaining balloons=60-12

=48

no. of friends = 8

no. of balloons with each friend=48÷8

=6

therefore, each friend gets 6 balloons

hence Nikita distributed-

=60-12 balloons

=48 balloons

Nikita distributed the balloons equally among her 8 friends
