Given :

  • Radius of wheel = 28cm
  • Distance travelled = 352m

To Find :

  • Number of rotations.

Solution :

Distance travelled :

Distance travelled = 352m

We know that 1m = 100cm

So, 352 × 100 = 35200

Circumference of wheel :

We've π = 22/7, r = 28cm

By using formula,

⇒ Circumference of wheel = 2πr

⇒ Circumference of wheel = 2 × 22/7 × 28

⇒ Circumference of wheel = 2 × 22 × 4

⇒ Circumference of wheel = 176cm

To find number of rotations, we should divide distance travelled by circumference of wheel.

So, We've

  • Distance travelled = 35200
  • Circumference of wheel = 176cm

⇒ Number of rotations = Distance travelled / Circumference of wheel

⇒ Number of rotations = 35200 / 176

⇒ Number of rotations = 200

° Hence, Number of rotations = 200
