Required Solution :-

  • Radius of circle is 10 cm
  • Time in which particle is completing the circle is 4 seconds.

As we know that distance covered by the particle would be the circumference of the circle.

Therefore,

  • Distance (d) = 2πr
  • Distance (d) = 2 × 22/7 × 10
  • Distance (d) = 62.8

Now, calculating the linear speed as we know that,

  • v = 2πr / t

Here,

  • v is linear speed
  • r is radius
  • t is time taken

Here we'll be applying the values but value of '2πr" is "62.8" we'll substitute it here !

  • v = 62.8 / 4
  • v = 15.7 cm/s

As we all know that if the acceleration of the particle is towards the centre then the magnitude of acceleration us calculated by the formula :

  • a = v² / r

Here,

  • v is linear speed
  • r is radius

Therefore, substituting the values :

  • a = (15.7)² / 10
  • a = 246.49 / 10
  • a = 24.649 cm/s²

Therefore, magnitude of linear acceleration is 24.649 cm/s²
