a) Homogeneous mixtures and Heterogeneous mixtures
b) Aqueous and Non- Aqueous solutions
c) Saturated and Unsaturated Solutions
Answers
Answers:-
a) Homogeneous mixture : A mixture in which different constituents are mixed uniformly is called a Homogeneous mixture.
Examples: Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc , sugar Solution , etc.
Heterogeneous mixture : A mixture in which various constituents are not mixed uniformly is called a Heterogeneous mixture.
Examples: Oil in water , mixture of Sand and sugar, etc.
b) Aqueous solution : A solution in which water is the solvent, is called an aqueous solution.
Examples: Salt in water , Sugar in water , etc.
Non - Aqueous solution : The solution in which other solvents dissolve the solutes other than water is called a Non - Aqueous solution.
Examples: Rubber in Benzene, Sulphur in Carbon disulfide, etc
c) Saturated Solution: A solution which cannot dissolve any more solute at a given temperature is known as a Saturated Solution.
Unsaturated Solution : A solution which can dissolve some more solute at a given temperature is known as an Unsaturated Solution.
