To find :-

The volume and surface area of the cuboid .

Given :-

The dimensions of the cuboid are 18cm,15cm and 24cm

☆Formula :-

 \longrightarrow\large{ \boxed{ \sf{ \color{lightgreen}{  Volume = l b h}}}}

\longrightarrow\large{ \boxed{ \sf{ \color{yellow}{SA=2lb+2lh+2hb }}}}

Where l = length ,b = breadth and h = height

Solution :-

Given that The dimensions of the cuboid are 18cm,15cm and 24cm.

By putting the values in the formula,

 \sf \: volume  \Rightarrow  ( 24 \times 18 \times 15) {cm}^{3}  \\  \\  \Rightarrow   \mathfrak\color{red}6480 \:  {cm}^{3 } \:  \:

 \sf \: SA \Rightarrow \: 2 \times 24 \times 18 + 2 \times 24 \times 15 + 2 \times 15 \times 18 \\  \\ \Rightarrow864 + 720 + 540 \qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\quad  \:  \: \\  \\  \Rightarrow \color{lime} \mathfrak  2124 \:  {cm}^{2} \qquad\qquad\qquad\qquad\quad\qquad\quad

Hence :-

The volume of the cuboid is 6480 cm³ and surface area is 2124 cm²

Extra information:-

  • Volume of cube= a³

  • Surface area of cube = 6a²

where, a = side of cube

  • Volume of cylinder = π r²h

  • Curved surface area of cylinder = 2π rh

  • Total surface area = 2π rh + 2π r²

where,h = height ,r = radius

and value of π=22/7
