According to the question, each boy contributed as many 25 paise coins as there were boys.

∴ The number of boys =

 \sqrt{ \frac{12100}{25} }  =  \frac{110}{5}  = 22

Q7. Soln: The first eleven odd numbers are:

1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19 and 21.

Their sum = 1+3+5+7+9+11+13+15+17+19+21 = 121.

And it's square root =

 \sqrt{121}  = 11
