SSIs can avail various subsidies and concessions for their businesses as against their counterparts. Some of them are:
*The SSI units are given priority when it comes to bank finance compared to large scale enterprises.
*The RBI has mandated that no collateral security must be taken by these for loans up to 5 lakhs availed by them. They also get a concessional interest rate for the loans taken by them.
*Excise duty levied on goods produced by SSIs is less and reasonable.
