NEW DELHI: The US presidential election is just around the corner. With 214,109,367 registered voters, the election is expected to be a massive affair. But it is nowhere close to the biggest exercise in democracy, an honor that goes to India. According to the Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance, which maintains records of registered voters and turnout in elections across the world, a whopping 910.5 million people were registered to vote during the most recent Indian general election last year.
