a) a + (b+c) = (a+b) + c

   (-10) + (7+(-3)) = (-10+7) + (-3)

   -10 + 4 = -3 + (-3)

    -6 = -6

hence, proved

b) a x (b+c) = (a x b) + (a x c)

   (-10) x (7 + (-3)) = (-10 x 7) + (-10 x (-3))

   (-10) x (4) = (-70) + (30)

    -40 = -40

hence, proved

Hope this helps!!

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

a) a + (b + c) = (a + b) + c

 =>  (-10) + (7 + (-3)) = ((-10) + 7) + (-3)

 =>  (-10) + (7 - 3) = (-10 + 7) + (-3)

 =>  (-10) + 4 = (-3) -3

 =>  (-6) = (-6)

b) a x (b + c) = (a x b) + (a x c)

 =>  (-10) x (7 + (-3)) = ((-10) x 7) + ((-10) x (-3))

 =>  (-10) x (7 - 3) = (-70) + (+30)

 =>  (-10) x 4 = (-70 + 30)

 =>  (-40) = (-40)

hence proved
