Let 1/x​=u & 1/y​=v

Now the equations are ,

2u+3v=13⟶(i)5u−4v=−2⟶(ii)

Solving (i) and (Ii) ,

2u+3v=13

u=13−3v​/2

putting value of u in (ii) ,

5u−4v=−2

5(13−3v​/2)−4v=−2

⇒−15v−8v=4−65

⇒v=−69/-23​=3

∴v=3

putting value of v in (i) equation ,

2⋅u+3⋅3=13u=2∴u=2

       & v=3

1/x​=u=2 & 1/y​=v=3

x=1/2​,y=1/3​
