Rita a quiet and intelligent girl was fond of reading books. On her 9th birthday, her friend Sunita presented her a magical story book which she bought from an old woman. The book was full of many pictures of beautiful fairies and fairy tales. One day when the book was kept on the table one fairy would come alive. Only a good and truthful child could find the fairy. One day Rita went to the park to play with her friends and when she returned she found an injured parrot laying on the road. She helped the parrot and took it to her neighbour who was a veterinary surgeon. The parrot was cured. The magic fairy had spotted Rita and she went to her and appreciated her for her good deeds and became her friend.
