Solution:

Hour hand turn 360°  in 12 hours

Hence Hour hand moves in 1 hour = 360°/12 = 30°

Hour hand goes from 3 to 9

Hence Number of hours = 9 - 3 = 6

Hour hand moves in 1 hour =  30°

=> Hour hand moves in 6 hours =  6 * 30°

=> Hour hand moves in 6 hours = 180°
