mass 6kg with a velocity of 300 m/s.
Calculate the recoil velocity of the gun.​

= 0.01 kg = M2

Mass of gun = 6 kg = M1

Velocity of the bullet = 300 m/s = V2

Let the velocity of the gun be 'x' = V1

according to the law of conservation of momentum

momentum of gun = momentum of the bullet

M1×V1 = M2× V2

6x = 0.01× 300

6x = 3

x = 3/6

=0.5 m/s

So, the recoil velocity of the gun is 0.5 m/s .
