Answers
Answer:
1. For growing crops such as wheat, gram, and paddy, the soil should be good at retaining water and rich in organic matter is suitable. Therefore, clayey soils having these characteristics are useful for such kind of crops. Because it is good in absorbing and holding water for plants.
2. Setting of curd is a chemical change because we cannot get the original substance (milk) back. The new substance, i.e. curd is different from the milk in taste, smell and chemical properties.
3. The reaction between an acid and bases is called a neutralization reaction. The result of the reaction is salt and water. For example, when hydrochloric acid(acid) and sodium hydroxide(base) react they form sodium chloride(salt) and water. Also, heat is evolved.
4. Distilled water is neutral. We can verify that by dipping red or blue litmus paper. There will be no change in colour due to neutral nature.
