so, no. of boys = 4x

and no. of girls = 15x

given,

75% of boys hold scholarship.

or, 75/100 × 4x = 300x/100 = 3x

Hence 3x boys out of 4x are scholarship holders.

Also given,

80% of girls are scholarship holders.

or, 80/100 × 15x = 1200x/100 = 12x

Hence, 12x girls out of 15x are scholarship holders.

Now,

total no. of students getting the scholarship = 3x + 12x = 15x

and total students = 4x + 15x = 19x

Hence, no. of students who aren't getting the scholarship = 19x - 15x = 4x

Percentage of such students = 4x/19x × 100 = 400/19 = 21.05%

Hence, 21.05% of students are not getting a scholarship.
