a) The load arm of an ideal lever of first class is 50 cm long and its effort arm is 100 cm long. How much load can

be lifted by using an effort of 60 N?

b) Calculate the mechanical advantage of a lever when load arm is 12 cm and effort arm is 30 cm.

c) Calculate the effort needed when load is 100 N , load arm is 0.8 m and effort arm is 4.0 m.

d) Calculate the mechanical advantage if effort is 100 N and the load is 10 N .
