When the temperature of the water reaches 12C the heater is switched off. Assuming the specific heat capacity is 4200J/kgK, calculate the time for which the heater has been switched on
(b)An ice cube of mass 0.025kg is added to 0.15kg of water at 0C in the same vessel and the heater switched on. Assuming that all the ice is at 0C. calculate how much longer it will take for the water to reach 12C than it did when the ice-cube was not present. Assume that the specific latent heat of fusion is 340000J/kg.
