Answer:

zero is the answer since the ball is moving and returning back to the same position after going upwards hence the displacement is 0

Answer :

  • Acceleration of ball is - 20

Given :

  • A ball hits a wall horizontally at 10 m/s
  • It bounce horizontally at 6 m/s
  • The ball is in contact with the walla for 0.2 sec

To find :

  • Acceleration of ball

Solution :

Given,

  • Initial velocity (u) = 10m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 6 m/s
  • Time (t) = 0.2 seconds

As we know that,

  • a = v - u / t

Where , a is acceleration, v is final velocity , u is Initial velocity and t is time

》a = v - u / t

》a = 6 - 10 / 0.2

》-4/0.2

》-20

Hence , Acceleration of ball is - 20

Verification :

》a = v - u / t

》-20 = 6 - 10 / 0.2

》-20 = -4/0.2

》-20 = -20

Hence , Verified
