Given:

Velocity of the body = 5m/s

Acceleration of the body = 2m/s²

To Find:

Distance travelled by the body

Solution:

As per the given data -

Initial velocity = u = 0 m/s

Velocity of the body = v = 5m/s

Acceleration of the body = a = 2m/s²

Displacement = s = Not present

Now,

Applying the third equation of motion -

v² - u² = 2as

or

v² = u² + 2as

Substituting the values -

(5)² = (0)² + 2 (2)s

25 = 0 + 4s

s = 25/4

s = 6.25

Answer: The distance travelled by the body is 6.25m
