Q. A body starts over a horizontal surface with an intial velocity of 0.5 m/s. Due to friction, its velocity decreases at the rate of 0.05 m/s² (acceleration, -0.05 m/s ). How much time will it take for the body to stop ?

here final velocity(v) = 0 m/s as the body has to stop finally

initial velocity(u) = 0.5m/s

acceleration(a) = -0.05m/s²

time(t) = ?

v = u + at

0 = 0.5 - 0.05t

0.05t = 0.5

t = 0.5/0.05

t = 10s

Hope it will help you

how are you
