◆ Explanation -

We know that volume of gaseous reactants consumed and products formed is directly proportional to their stoichiometric coefficients.

For combustion of CH4,

CH4 + 2O2 --> CO2 + 2H2O

Hence, 5 ml of CH4 will produce 5×1/1 = 5 ml of CO2.

For combustion of C2H6,

2C2H6 + 5O2 --> 4CO2 + 6H2O

Hence, 10 ml of C2H6 will produce 10×4/2 = 20 ml of CO2.

Therefore, 5 + 20 = 25 ml of CO2 will be produced.
