Q. A particle is travelling in a circle of diameter 15 m. Calculate distance and displacement when he covers 1.5 rounds.

Diameter of the Circular Path = 15 m.

We know, Circumference of the Circular path will be the Distance covered by the Body in one Round.

Thus,Circumference of the Circular Path = 2× \piπ r

= 330/7 m

In second Round total Distance covered = 2 × 330/7

= 660/7

Thus, Distance is 660/7 m during two rounds.

Displacement =0

Reason ⇒ Body returns to the same point after the second Round, thus displacement will be zero
