Dear student,
Basically capacities mean volume.
Volume of first tin = l×b×h.
l = 8 cm.
b = 8 cm.
h = 13 cm.
Volume = 8×8×13 =
832cm^3 = 0.832 liters. (1 liter = 1000cm^3)
Volume of cylinder = πr^2h.
π = 22/7.
r = 7 cm.
h = 15 cm.
Volume = (22/7) × 7×7×15 = 2310 cm^3 = 2.31 liters.
Difference in capacities = 2.31 - 0.832 = 1.478 liters .
Hope you understood the topic .
Regards.

Side of square Base = 8cm ; Height = 13cm

∴ Volume (V1) = 8 x 8 x 13 = 832 cm³

Radius of base of the tin (r) = 7cm

Height of tin (h) = 15cm

∴ Volume (V2) = πr²h

=  \frac{22}{7}  x (7)² x 15

= 2310 cm³

So, difference in their capacities = V2 - V1

= 2310 - 832

= 1478 cm³
