Q. A rectangular tin 20 cm long and 12 cm wide contains 1680 cm² of flour. What is the depth of flour in the tin if it is spread evenly.​

where,

Solution

Substitute the values in the formula of volume of rectangle,

- Volume of rectangular tank = Ibh

→ 1680 = 20 × 12 x h

→ 1680 = 240 x h

→ 1680/240 = h

+ 7 = h

Depth of the flour on the tank = 7 cm
