Answer:

30% of profit earned if no discount was offered.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : A shopkeeper sold a T.V. set for Rs. 17,940 with a discount of 8% and earned a profit of 19.6%.

To find : What would have been the percentage of profit earned if no discount was offered ?

Solution :

Let Cost price be x.

SP=Rs.17940

Then, \frac{92}{100}x=17940

x=\frac{17940\times100}{92}

x=19500

Then, CP=\frac{17940\times110}{119.6}

CP=Rs.15000

CP=Rs.15000 , SP=Rs.17940

Required profit% is

P\%=\frac{4500}{15000}\times 100

P\%=30\%

Therefore, 30% of profit earned if no discount was offered.
