why did you leave the back door open?

They put me and my family in the back of the hotel. When we went to enter the back doors (2), the key card locks were crazy glued shut. Went to the front desk and asked why they were shut. Oh no they are open to 11 the young lady says. I say the are locked but why would you leave them open at night? She say ask my manager. I am for him. He's not here.
I said I could not understand how a marriott would leave the door open on purpose. She says you said it was locked. I said yes it is closed, but why would you leave it open?
She says you need to move from my desk, you can't yell at me.
