A1) time period is the time taken for completing one oscillation by a pendulum.

no. of oscillations = 10

time taken = 20 second

time period = 20/10

                   = 2 seconds

A2) (a) Metals by property make a ringing sound when hit to a hard                                                                                                                                                  substance. This is known as its sonority. Non-metals lack this property.

(b) Metals are good conductors of electricity. Copper is one of the best conductors of electricity and is cheap. So, they are used to make electric wires.

(c) Most of the metals are shiny. This property o metals is known as luster. So. ornaments are made up of Gold and Silver.

A3) Sound is produced by vibration of any object. It is transmitted with the help of a Medium. We hear sound through our ears.
