Q. An object takes 5 s to reach the grond
from a height of 5 m on a planet.
What is the value of g on the planet?
Ans: 0.4 m/s2
b. The radius of planet A is half the
radius of planet B. If the mass of Ais
M., what must be the mass of B so
that the value of g on B is half that of
its value on A?
Ans: 2M
C. The mass and weight of an object on
earth are 5 kg and 49 N respectively.
What will be their values on the
moon? Assume that the acceleration
due to gravity on the moon is 1/6th
of that on the earth.

Explanation:

A)

h=ut+1/2at^2

5=0+1/2a(5)^2

10/25=a

a=0.4m/s^2

C)

mass on moon will remain 5kg

but weight will become 8.12 N

bcz weight is given as m×g

and g on moon is g/6

thus weight will also become w/6=49/6=8.12N

hope it will be cleared to you
