a) Value Axis is a chart axis that displays scaled numeric values. They are normally computed based on the data displayed in the chart.

In a 3D chart, the z-axis is usually the value axis

b) Goal seek is a process of calculating a value by performing what-if analysis on a given set of values.

Goal seek determines input values needed to achieve a specific goal.

Goal seek I normally inbuilt into different kind of computer software programs like Microsoft Excel to find the correct input values when only the output I known.

c) Data series is a row or column of numbers that are entered in a worksheet and plotted in a chart. Example of data series include list of quarterly business profits.

Charts in office are always associated with an Excel-based worksheet
