building dams is helpful as well as harmful.

for the given points below u can understand that it is harmful :-

● It causes the useful sand to accumulate in the end portion of dam & hence silt is wasted

●it affect habitat of fish & their survival

● it causes the disturbance in natural flow of river

●it even effect the hybridusatiin of fishes

moreover ,

it causes the problem for people residing near the llcae where dam is thought to be built .
