Q. Can a a decomposition reaction take place without transferring any type of energy ? GIVE EXAMPLE?

Most decomposition reactions require an input of energy in the form of heat, light, or electricity. Binary compounds are compounds composed of just two elements.

1) calcium carbonate decomposes in calcium oxide & carbon dioxide when heated. 2)When heated strongly potassium chlorate decomposes into potassium chlorite and oxygen. 1) silver chloride decomposes into silver and chlorine . 2) hydrogen peroxide decomposes into water and oxygen.
