Yes, cold war is considered only for aquaring more power. this is mostly done by british and mughals to control as many parts of a country and rule it.

My Answer:

At the end of World War 2, two countries, namely the USA and the Soviet Union could claim Victory and they were keen on becoming world No.1.

They influenced various wars around the world and at the centre of this stand-off were the different ideologies (Capitalism and Communism).

The two 'Superpowers' kept expanding their military and the result of this were the threat of nuclear bombs and the Space Race and the Arms Race.
