Main constituent of the layer of solid rocks are those of igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary.

Explanation:

  • The earth's lithosphere is made of plates and these are formed by the variation in different rocks types as the main components of these forms are the igneous, sedimentary, and the metamorphic in nature.
  • The earth in itself is divided into layers of crust, mantle, and core. The mantle is in a semi-liquid form, the outer core is liquid and the inner core is solid form.
  • The thickness of this crust that the solid rock is form 0 to 100 km. The mantel being divided into the asthenosphere has upper and lower parts that have a thickness from 100 to 2900 km.
  • The outer core has a thickness of 2900 to 5100 km and the inner core has a thickness of 5100 to 6378 km. All layers are made of a diverse range of minerals such as iron, nickel, aluminum, and silicon.
