- Natural resources : Those resources which are obtained from nature directly.
- Man-made resources : Those resources which are modified by humans through their skill, intellect and intelligence into useful resources.
- Biotic resources : These are the resources which are living things.
- Abiotic resources : These are the resources which are non-living.
- Potential or sustainable resources : Those resources which are stored for future for further development of the country.
- Development resources : These are developments in the present in order to not destroy the future resources for coming generations.
- Renewable resources: These are the resources which can be renewed automatically by nature and they are not likely to get exhausted.
- Non-renewable resources: These are the resources which cannot be renewed by nature and takes a very long time to produce and if they are not saved they can be disappear and coming generations will not enjoy the benefits of these resources.
