Q-electric fuse in is an important component of all domestic circuits why?

In using electronic appliance there is a risk of short circuit due to large supply of electricity or any other reason so, in order to avoid this fuse is used. When a large electric current is supplied, the wire inside the fuse get burn which results in incomplete circuit therefore, supply of current stop and hence an accident can be avoided.
