Q) every individual organism cannot be protected by variations. Explain​

Variations are the changes that occurs during reproduction due to certain errors in DNA copying.

However, if drastic changes occur due to mutation then the organism don't survive.

Another reason can be:-

If there are sudden changes in the niche of the organism such as change in temperature,etc. then organism which don't have heat resistance variations doesn't survive but organisms with more favourable variations survive better and flourish further in the prevailing environment.

Accumulation of variations after several generations results in new set of traits required for survival.

As they show results after many generations so they are not important for individual.
