Answer:

3R strategy is an approach to reduce the amount of solid waste.

It is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Reduce: avoiding the use of materials which increase the solid waste.

Reuse: repeating use of items.

Recycling: Using recycled materials of glass plastic, paper, metal, etc. Use of recycled water.

1. Use of public transport instead of personal transport to reduce the consumption of fuel.

2. According to this strategy, one should avoid the use of non- recyclable substance like polythene. Non-recyclable substances are harmful for environment and organisms. Therefore, the use of recyclable resources should be promoted.

3. Use of materials such as paper should be preferred as they can be reused and recycled. Also, they do not cause any harm to the environment when they are disposed off.

4. Materials like glass and some plastics can be recycled on heating and get easily converted into different products like toys, containers which can be reused again.
