Q Experiment based learning:
Aim : Preparing a herbarium
Process :
i) Collect fallen leaves, flowers (5 each) from your surroundings.
ii) Put the above between the newspaper sheets and place them below on the table.
iii) Stack some heavy books on top for a week to press and dry out the leaves and flowers.
iv) Once the process is done, remove the above and paste them in 5 white sheets and write the name of plant from which you have collected the above.
v) Answer the following questions:
a) What is herbarium?
b) Why was drying in newspaper done?
c) Which surface of leaf has more prominent veins?

a)Herbarium a preserve article of leaves of plants in dry form so that they does not perish.It is mainly a kind of specimen for leaves.

b)Drying with paper was done so that they last long for years and does not get perished.
